Variations on a theme...

This one might look familiar. Kind of. It's a reinterpretation of an earlier piece.

Left 4 Dead 2

I've been enjoying the game, so I doodled Ellis and Coach, slapped some color on it, and here is the end result.

Testing, 1..2...3

I'm basically experimenting with a new digital painting style...here is something I whipped up earlier today. Let's call him..."Blue Lightning".

This is a spoof on the DC character Animal Man that I was inspired to do by Mark Palmer.

Oy!

1. I am not dead! Good news, indeed.

2. I hope to be posting regularly again. I've got a backlog of art to scan and post.

3. I'm working on a redesign of my site proper. To be unveiled (hopefully) soon.

4. Enjoy this sketch I did a couple of months ago.

Brand-Aid

For some reason, I have a fascination with words- their use, their origins, their meanings. Anyone who really knows me will not be surprised by this revelation. My wonderful wife has put up with my quasi-philosophical observations for quite some time. She may have even found them endearing in the early years of our romance. Nearly ten years on, and she merely endures this particular quirk of mine.

The reason I'm bringing this up? It occurred to me (for some unbeknownst reason) earlier this evening that the brand most synonymous with a product (including other brands' versions) is Band-Aid. Kleenex is a close second, but I still hear people asking for a tissue. I do not, however, ever hear people asking for a small adhesive bandage. Other brand names that are nearly synonymous with a certain style of product include Xerox, Velcro, Teflon, Frisbee, Slinky...the list goes on.
